This hidden gem is off the beaten path and an absolutely beautiful site. Located just minutes from Pedestal Rock and King’s Bluff Trails in Sand Gap, Arkansas, the falls provide a stunning aural and visual experience, and there is some great opportunity for fun exploration for curious kids.
Fun story: While we were there, a US Navy pilot from the New England area celebrated his upcoming retirement with a couple classy dives from the upper edge of the falls… kids were elated to see the dives, and I heard the German judge gave him an 8.5.
Very much worth the visit! Make your way east from Pedestal Rocks on Hwy 16, the turn left when you see the sign for Falling Water Horse Camp (County Rd 68). Go about a mile past the camp and you’ll see obvious parking just before the Falling Water Falls pictured.
